The Colorado State softball program announced the addition of Taylor Gilmore as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 school year. After the retirement of head coach Jen Fisher and the hiring of current head coach Michelle Gascoigne, Gilmore will remain on the coaching staff for the program's inaugural year under Gascoigne and in the the Pac-12. 

As a CSU Alumni as a player, Gilmore comes back to CSU after serving as a pitching coach at San Jose State in 2025.

  • Led the Rams to a team ERA of 4.66, ranking 8th in the conference while improving on the 2025 campaign which featured a 6.61 team ERA
  • Earned an all-conference award through the recognition of Reagan Wick
San Jose State (Assistant Coach (Pitching) 2025
  • Pitching staff finished 1st in conference play with an ERA of 2.95. Lowered from previous years 5.39.
  • Two pitchers finished with all conference honors. 
  • Helped San Jose make it back to the conference tournament.

  • Finished with a career 2.83 ERA in 299.1 innings pitched over 2 years. 
  • 229 Strikeouts in that time
