Eslinger Named Mountain West Player and Freshman of the Week

Redshirt freshman earns second and third weekly awards of career

FORT COLLINS - Fort Collins native Madi Eslinger was named the Mountain West Player and Freshman of the Week after her performance in the Rams series sweep against Utah State, announced Monday afternoon.  
  
Eslinger's accolades include:  
 
  • Led the Rams with a batting average of .556 on the weekend, leading to a series sweep against the Aggies. 
  • Hit two home runs in Saturday's game against Utah State, including a grand slam, leading to a 15-6 win in favor of the Rams. 
  • Contributed four runs, five hits and 11 RBI across three games. 
  • Slugged at a 1.222 clip including 11 Total bases. 
  • Had an on-base percentage of .615, drawing one walk and two hit by pitches.   
  
Up Next: Eslinger and the Rams enter their final week of Mountain West play in program history, returning home to face Grand Canyon on April 30 – May 2.
