Rams Ready for a Texas Two-Step

Program to face two first time opponents
FORT COLLINS - Colorado State's women's soccer team is gearing up for their first major trip of the season as they head down south to the Lone Star State for a two-match pairing beginning in San Marcos, Texas and concluding in San Antonio. Â
The Rams are now 2-1-1, after winning both matches last week. Their first stop on the road trip is Thursday as they face Texas State at 6:30 p.m. The Bobcats have a record of 2-1 heading into the match. Â
Following on Sunday the Rams will take on UTSA at noon for the Roadrunners International Day. UTSA has a record of 3-1. Â
CSU vs Texas State will be broadcast on ESPN+ while the match against UTSA will broadcast on ESPN+. Â

- This will be the first time the Rams face either program.Â

- Shayna Ross extended her career record for shutouts, now standing at 15, after two last week against Northern Colorado and California Baptist. She now sits second all time for goalkeeper game starts (35) surpassing Hunter Peifer, just three games shy of Jesse McGinley 38.

- Kenady Leighton, who has started every game of her career, stands second in games started with 69, and is tied for fifth in career games played. She sits second in career minutes with 6,036.Â
- Avery Vander Ven ranks second with her seven career assists.Â
