Linebacker posts career-best three tackles
Josh Watson has spent the season bouncing between the practice squad and the active roster for the Denver Broncos.
Â
On Sunday, the linebacker was back to active, and he supplied one of the few highlights for the Broncos in the game.
Â
As part of the kickoff coverage team, Watson delivered a physical tackle of Las Vegas return man Jalen Richard on kickoff coverage. Unfortunately, it came as part of a 37-12 loss.
Â
Sunday's game was the third Watson has appeared in this season for the Broncos, the 11th in his career. His three solo stops were a career best.
Â
Shaquil Barrett – He finished the game with three tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss to go along with a pair of quarterback hurries in Tampa Bay's 46-23 win over Carolina.
Â
Ty Sambrailo – He started for the fourth week in a row as the Titans fell Indianapolis 34-17.
Â
Weston Richburg – San Francisco announced Monday the veteran snapper will miss the first 12 games due to offseason shoulder surgery which has set back his return to action. The 49ers lost 27-13 to New Orleans.
Â
Trent Sieg – Las Vegas had little problem handling Denver in a 37-12 victory.
Â
Rashard Higgins – He led the team in receiving yards, turning three catches into 48 yards in a 10-7 win over Houston.
Â
Michael Gallup – The Dallas Cowboys had a bye week.
Â
Bisi Johnson – On Monday night, he was targeted once as the Vikings beat Chicago to improve to 4-5 on the season.
Â
Preston Williams – He sat out Miami's 29-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers after injuring his foot the game before.
Â
Josh Watson – He posted three tackles in the game, including one extremely physical stop on special teams.
