Oldenburg Named As Draddy Trophy Semifinalist

Colorado State University football player Clint Oldenburg has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2006 Draddy Trophy selected by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
The NFF today announced the list of semifinalists, including Oldenburg. He is a 6-foot-5, 297-pound senior offensive tackle from Gillette, Wyo., who has started 28 games the past three seasons for CSU's football team.
The Draddy Trophy recognizes an individual for combined academic success, football performance, and exemplary community leadership.
Each semifinalist must have at least a 3.0 grade point average, and have demonstrated leadership and citizenship on and off the field, and a noted football performer.
Oldenburg is majoring in Technical Journalism and will earn his degree later this year. He was a preseason All-Mountain West Conference selection.
The NFF Awards Committee, which is comprised of former coaches, Hall of Famers, and college administrators, will announce up to 15 finalists later this month. The winner of the award will be announced at the NFF Awards Dinner Dec. 5 in New York City. Each finalist will receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship.
