Wide receiver Dustin Osborn writes about the trip to San Diego and the events leading up to the bowl game.
"This has been a great experience for our team. We've had the chance to do some fun things, but there seems to be a great focus on the game, too. Both of our practices out here (in San Diego), have been pretty intense, which is good. Sometimes, you worry that there won't be the focus or the intensity, but there was intensity both days.
"This game means a lot to all of us. We want to send the seniors out on a good note because they have done so much for our program. They are great leaders, and have helped us keep the winning tradition and going to bowl games at CSU alive.
"I think we have had good practices, now we have to focus and get ready for the game. The bowl has been great for us because we've had fun things to do. Most of the players are going to the San Diego Zoo today, and there is the luncheon tomorrow for both teams on the USS Midway. Many of these things are things we would not be able to do without coming to a bowl game, so that has been great. Most of the guys on our team have never been to the San Diego Zoo.
"My mom and my family are coming in Wednesday, so that is exciting for me to be able to play in a bowl game with my family here. I know the other players on the team feel the same way. It's an exciting experience, one I won't forget."
