COLUMBIA, Mo. — Colorado State cross country continued its 2026 season at the Gans Creek Classic in Colombia, Mo., with the men finishing eighth with 265 points and the women placing 13^th with 385 points.

The men's team was led by fifth-year Ryan Schumacher, who finished 36^th overall in the 8K with a time of 23:32.0. Sophomore Davis Rydman followed in 41^st at 23:41.4, while senior Chris Henry placed 58^th at 23:56.2, as three Rams placed inside the top 60.
Colorado State showed depth throughout the men's race, with junior Trent Nosky and sophomore Nic Spencer rounding out the scoring five. The pair finished 64^th and 69^th, respectively, with less than 30 seconds separating CSU's top five runners.
Sophomore Ruby Schwelm led the way for the women's team, finishing 33^rd overall in the 6K with a time of 20:24.8. Junior Allison Pippert and senior Abigail Petr followed, giving the Rams three runners inside the top 75.
The Rams continued to see contributions throughout the women's lineup, with sophomore Tatum Berg and junior Shea Volkmer rounding out the scoring five. Berg finished 110^th at 21:20.6, while Volkmer crossed the line in 117^th at 21:25.1. Sophomore Adeline Barker finished just behind Volkmer in 119^th.
The Gans Creek Classic provided another opportunity for Colorado State to test itself against a competitive field as the Rams continue their inaugural season in the Pac-12. With the postseason approaching, CSU will look to build on its first three meets of the season and continue developing its depth on both sides.
