Colorado State cross country heads to Terre Haute, Ind., this week for the Pre-National Invitational as the Rams continue their 2026 campaign and prepare for the postseason. The meet will provide another opportunity for Colorado State to test itself against a competitive field.

MEET NOTES

Colorado State heads to Indiana following its performance at the Gans Creek Classic, where the men finished eighth with 265 points and the women placed 13th with 385 points.
Fifth-year Ryan Schumacher led the men's team at Gans Creek, finishing 36th in the 8K at 23:32.0. Sophomore Ruby Schwelm paced the women with a 33rd-place finish in the 6K at 20:24.8.
The men's team showed depth at Gans Creek, with sophomore Davis Rydman finishing 41st and senior Chris Henry placing 58th. Junior Trent Nosky and sophomore Nic Spencer rounded out the scoring five.
On the women's side, junior Allison Pippert and senior Abigail Petr joined Schwelm among the top 75 finishers at Gans Creek, while sophomore Tatum Berg and junior Shea Volkmer rounded out the scoring five.
The Rams will send 10 men and 10 women to Terre Haute. The men's roster combines veteran leadership with young talent, featuring experienced runners Schumacher, Henry and Rydman alongside freshmen Reid O'Brien and Zarian Rodriguez and sophomore Benjamin Wolff. On the women's side, Schwelm, Pippert and Petr lead a group that brings experience and depth across the lineup.
The Pre-National Invitational provides Colorado State with another opportunity to test its lineups against strong competition as the Rams prepare for the postseason and the Pac-12 Championships.
