Colorado State cross country competed without a full scoring squad at the Roadrunners Invitational in Washington Park on Saturday, sending four runners each in the men's 8K and women's 6K. Ahead of several highly competitive meets later this fall, CSU looked to develop its younger athletes in Saturday's invitational, placing the emphasis on building depth rather than team standing.

Freshman David Williams led the men's team, crossing the line 42nd overall in 26:44.61. Freshman Isaac Vasquez followed in 78th in 28:09.86, and behind him, sophomore Tanner Kaufman finished 79th in 28:13.37.
Sophomore Jonas Scudamore completed the men's campaign, finishing 99th in 28:59.48.
Senior Mari Konold led the charge for the Rams on the women's side, finishing 12th overall in 22:59.14.
Freshman Lanie Hempel followed, placing 49^th in 24:22.59, with senior Brooklyn Ewert finishing 58th in 24:39.97, and junior Tabitha Woodhouse wrapped up the group at 73rd in 25:36.93.
