GAME NOTES
- Colorado State started the season 2-0 for the first time since 2011 after a dominate win against Southern Utah, 58-24.
- The Rams suffered their first loss the season to then-No. 11 BYU, 41-23. It was the first time playing a ranked team in Canvas Stadium and the highest ranked team in Fort Collins since 2011.
- The Rams continue to be ball hawks grabbing a pair of interceptions against BYU pushing their total to seven on the year -- which leads the nation.
- CSU has picked off multiple passes in all three games this season, the first time this feat has happened since the start of the 2017 season.Â
- CSU's 2.7 turnover margin is tied for second in the nation with Notre Dame.Â
- Cornerback CJ Blocker has recorded an interception in the first three games this season. He is the first Ram since Jack Howell in 2022 to have a pick in three-straight games. Blocker is tied for second in the nation with his three interceptions.
- The Rams had to use three QBs in the game against BYU due to injuries. Hauss Hejny and Darius Curry each tossed a touchdown pass. Curry also had a pair of two point conversions.
- Hejny is ranked fourth in the nation with 10 touchdown passes over the first three weeks and has thrown just one interception.
- RJ Vick caught his fourth touchdown pass of the year against BYU. He is tied for seventh in the nation for receiving TDs this year.
- The Rams' offense has been explosive through the first quarter of the season - totaling 27 plays, including eight that ended in a touchdown.
- Week two against Southern Utah was the most explosive - 13 plays with six ending in a score. The Rams had 15 drives in the game with six leading to a touchdown. Of those six touchdown drives, only 15 plays were ran and a total of 3:58 of time.
