Colorado State Volleyball Welcomes Bruno Chateau

Chateau joins CSU coaching staff with professional volleyball experience
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State volleyball program and head coach Emily Kohan announced the addition of Bruno Chateau as Assistant Coach ahead of the 2026 season Tuesday afternoon. Chateau joins the program after most recently serving as an assistant coach for LOVB Salt Lake City and over 15 years of coaching experience under his belt.

"Bruno is highly respected at the highest levels of volleyball. His experience in various professional leagues will add a unique perspective to the college game to help us keep modernizing our approach to winning championships," Kohan said. "He has worked with some of the best volleyball players in the world and is beloved by both players and staff, he's got amazing energy. I look forward to learning from him and watching our players grow under his guidance."

Chateau brings college coaching experience from the University of New Orleans, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the University of Denver and Colorado College.

"I participated a few years ago in the CSU summer camp as a coach, and now I will be part of the coaching staff, crazy story but real!" Chateau said. "I am super thankful for the opportunity, and I can't wait to share my experiences with the team and learn from the Colorado State volleyball program."

Chateau also adds 12 years of professional playing experience in the men's French League, winning a championship in both 2006 and 2007.

At his most recent position with LOVB Salt Lake City, Chateau led the team's blocking strategy while being a part of the LOVB's founding seasons since 2024.

Chateau will join the Rams as they prepare for their 2026 campaign including the program's inaugural year in the PAC-12 conference. Colorado State will kick off its regular season at home against UC Davis, August 28 in Moby Arena.
