FORT COLLINS — Colorado State volleyball is ready to battle for the Golden Spike and keep the trophy in Fort Collins after sweeping the series with Colorado last season. The Rams will face No. 17 Colorado in Boulder on Thursday, September 17, before returning home to Moby Arena on Friday, September 18, for the second match of the home-and-home matchup.

Starting Seven

The Battle for the Golden Spike is back! The Rams head to Boulder Thursday, September 17, to take on No. 17 Colorado at 7 p.m., in the first match of the rivalry weekend.
The battle continues at Moby Arena! The Rams return home Friday, September 18, looking to keep the Golden Spike in Fort Collins. The annual White Out game is set for 6 p.m., in Moby, with T-shirts handed out to students before the match.
The Buffaloes enter the week undefeated thus far this season. Senior setter Jenna Ylivainio earned Big 12 Starting Seven honors following the Buffs' 3-1 victory over USC last weekend. Colorado has posted a .279 hitting percentage through the opening matches of the season while holding opponents to a .139 hitting percentage.
The Rams bring their own momentum into week four of the season, going 3-0 last weekend, sweeping straight sets against South Dakota, UC Santa Barbara and Wyoming
The Rams opened last weekend with a sweep of South Dakota. Sofia Zabjek led the Rams with eight kills, while Maria Brun recorded four aces. As a team Colorado State hit .302 and held South Dakota to a .073 hitting percentage.
Colorado State continued the weekend with a sweep over UCSB. Eve Wilson recorded 11 kills while hitting .786 throughout the match, while Karsyn Fetzer contributed 12 digs to help the Rams secure the sweep.
The Rams finished out the week with a sweep over Wyoming in Laramie to claim their 76^th Border War victory. Halle Jameson led the Rams with 15 kills, while Erin Debiec recorded 41 assists. Colorado State held the Cowgirls to a .155 hitting percentage and totaled 68 points throughout the road match.
