MEET NOTESÂ Â
MEET NOTESÂ Â
- The Bryan Clay Invite will serve as the second sea level meet of the outdoor season for the distance squad. The Rams are sending ten athletes who will be on the lookout for qualifying times and personal bests. Ruby Schwelm showed out for CSU at the Stanford Invite two weeks ago with strong times in the 800-and-1500-meter races. Â
- With west regionals on the horizon, the Rams will make it a priority to get into the top 48 qualifying threshold for their respective events. The Rams currently have 42 marks that sit in the top 50 highlighted by Klaire Kovatch; who ranks second in the discus at 59.55-meters/195-feet-4.Â
- Kovatch and other throwers are primed for a huge weekend as the crew will throw on all three days of competition with some doubling up on their respective events. Making the trek is Leonardo Ramos who has been steadily improving on his journey back from injury, throwing 18.22/59-89.5 in the shot put last weekend. Â
- Horizontal and vertical jumper Ndayiragije Shukurani will triple jump for the first time this season. Shukurani hit the 52 feet mark in the triple jump during the indoor season and will be joined by teammate Ismael Dembele, another member of the 52 foot club.Â
