Coming off winning the Mountain West Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance, Williams' roster includes one returning starter, Kloe Froebe, who averaged 10.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Key bench performer McKenna Murphy is back to help bolster a squad restocked with five transfers and a trio of freshmen. Colorado State posted a 27-8 record, winning 20 games or more for a fifth consecutive season.
Frobe and newcomer Camryn Runner were named to the Pac-12's impact players list in the preseason as the Rams were pegged to finish fourth in the conference.
Ali Farokhmanesh enters year two as the head man of the men's basketball team and returns six of his top eight scorers from last year. Farokhmanesh and the Rams won 21 games last season and made the postseason for the third straight year, competing in the NIT.
Returners Kyle Jorgensen and Carey Booth were named to the Pac-12's impact player list on the men's side. Just like the women, Colorado State's men were picked to finish fourth in the Pac-12 this season.
