- The Rams return to Moby Arena on Saturday at 1 p.m. to face Utah State for the second time this season, looking to carry their momentum forward after defeating Washington State and Oregon State last weekend and continue their unbeaten streak in the Pac-12.
- Utah State enters the match up with a 3-12 overall record, led by Junior Olivia Ruy, who earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors last week. Earlier this season in Logan, Utah, the Aggies took the Rams to five sets before Colorado State finished with the victory. CSU was led by Maria Brun's season high 15 kills and Eve Wilson's season high nine blocks. The Rams look to carry that momentum into Moby Arena on Saturday.Â
- Colorado State continues to hold the No. 1 spot in the Pac-12 standings, remaining as the only undefeated team in conference play with a 6-0 record. Looking ahead to the opportunity to host the inaugural Pac-12 tournament in November, Saturday's game against Utah State will not count towards the Rams' record to earn this feat because it will be the second time they are facing the Aggies this season. Hosting rights will go to the team leading the standing after first round play.
- Colorado State opened last weekend with a sweep over Washington State on Thursday. Sofia Zabjek led the Rams with 12 kills, while Kekua Richards recorded six blocks and Erin Debiec added 31 assists.Â
- The Rams closed out the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Oregon State on Saturday, earning their sixth consecutive Pac-12 Win. Halle Jameson, Eve Wilson, and Maria each recorded double-digit kills.Â
- Colorado State currently ranks second in the nation in blocks per set a 3.06, heavily thanks to the dynamic duos of middles in Kekua Richards and Eve Wilson, both averaging over 1.25 blocks per set individually so far this season.
- Saturdays competition will also serve as the annual Fight Like A Ram game sponsored by UCHealth. This game will serve as a Cancer Awareness Game with coaches and players wearing ribbons featuring the color of a cancer or disease they would like to bring awareness to.Â
