Colorado State men’s basketball hosts Utah State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State men's basketball is hosting a Strip Out inside Moby Arena Friday night when they host Utah State at 8:00 p.m. MT.

Opening Tip
- Colorado State ended its two-game losing streak with an emphatic 81-52 win over Air Force on Tuesday.
- Three Rams finished the game in double figures scoring, with six others finishing a basket away from joining them.
- The trio of Josh Pascarelli, Brandon Rechsteiner and Jase Butler each had 11 points, all making multiple 3-pointers.
- Kyle Jorgensen returned to the starting lineup for CSU with a nine points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals performance.
- The Rams forced Air Force into 14 turnovers, 10 of them via steal helping to lead to 21 fast break points.
- The ball was moving for CSU on the offensive end, finishing the night with 17 assists on 28 made baskets.

- CSU's effective field goal percentage of 60.2% is fifth in the nation and leads the Mountain West.
- Colorado State has a pair of Mountain West Players of the Week so far this season in Kyle Jorgensen and Josh Pascarelli.
- Jorgensen's performance over the first week earned him Mountain West Player of the Week honors. The sophomore averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steal in the first two games of the season.
- Pascarelli earned his honor after his performance against Colorado (12/6/25). The junior scored 26 points connecting on eight 3-pointers for the second straight game.
- CSU earned a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 and third in four years.
- Colorado State's 26 wins in 2024-25 tied for the second most in program history. They finished one win behind the record of 27 set by the 2014-15 team. 
- The Rams welcomed the best transfer portal class in the Mountain West in 2025 ranking 61st in the nation.
- Colorado State has the longest active streak of having a player on the first team All-Mountain West list at seven years. Nico Carvacho (2019-20), David Roddy (2021-22), Isaiah Stevens (2023-24) and Nique Clifford (2025).
- Nique Clifford became the fourth player in program history to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft in June. Clifford was the 24th pick overall by Oklahoma City with his rights traded to Sacramento.
- Clifford had one of the best seasons in program history his final year. He earned AP All-America honorable mention, was the MVP for the Mountain West Tournament and helped the program earn its first Mountain West title since 2003 by winning the Mountain West Tournament.

Scouting the Aggies
Utah State comes into Friday's game looking a to snap a two-game losing streak. The Aggies are 15-3 on the year and 6-2 in Mountain West play, a game behind San Diego State for first place.

USU is led by the duo of MJ Collins and Mason Falslev. Collins is averaging 19.3 points per game and Falslev 16.9. Both are dangerous behind the arc making over 38.0% of their 3-point attempts.

Falslev also leads the team in rebounds (6.3), assists (2.7) and steals (2.4) per game.

Utah State likes to pressure the ball and force opponents into turnovers. They are forcing 15.1 turnovers a game, 9.7 of them via a steal to ignite their offense.
