MEET NOTES

Tatum Berg returns to competition after picking up a pair of Mountain West weekly awards in her last outing. The freshman added women's athlete and freshman of the week awards to her growing list of accolades, due to her first-place finish at the Roadrunner Invite. Berg will be joined by four other debuting freshmen – Sierra Cornett – Adeline Barker – Amrie Lacefield and Ruby Schwelm on the trip to Indiana, all of which have impressed in un-attached competition.

  • The men's side adds a pair of names to the fold this week, with Chris Henry and Jackson Barna looking to make their first starts of the season. Barna, a Georgetown transfer, will make his first cross country start since October 28th of 2023 where he finished 48th in the Big East Championships. As for Henry, he looks to feed off last year when he finished 24th at the Mountain West championships.

  • The women's side has been a force through two meets, claiming first as a team by large margins in each of their two contests this season. Consequently, the team moved up one spot in this week's USTFCCCA regional rankings to seventh. Five of the six teams they sit behind are ranked in the top 20 of the national coach's poll.

  • Ben Kirbo and Parker Westermann are both set to compete at the Joe Piane. Kirbo was the top male finisher for Colorado State at the Roadrunner Invite, finishing fourth overall and second among collegiate competitors. Westermann was the second Ram across the line and one of the top freshmen on the day.

  • Allison Pippert has been the other member of the Rams dynamic duo, recording two second place finishes in her first two starts. The sophomore has a top five time for underclassmen in the MW and finished top twenty at conference last year.
