Coach's Corner
Head Coach Ryun Williams
On getting back to winning…
"It is very important that we play well. We must continue growing as a basketball team and learning how to win basketball games. Tomorrow is extremely important. Mississippi Valley State is very athletic and can be disruptive at times, meaning we need to be ready to go."

On the last home game until the new year…
"It is very evident during our home games that we have great support. This team is fun to watch. I enjoy coaching this team. They play hard and play well, so more the merrier [fans] on Saturday to help us get these wins."

Off The Tip
• Last time out, the Rams made the pilgrimage to Thompson-Boling Arena to take on No.23-ranked Tennessee on Pat Summitt Court. Despite the lopsided score, not all was lost for Colorado State in the 79-41 loss. CSU turned the ball over just seven times, which was an opponent low for the Lady Vols. Defensively, the Rams notched 14 steals, marking the most by an opponent against the Big Orange this season. Additionally, CSU forced UT to turn the ball over 17 times.

• Ball control continues to thrive for the Rams. CSU has had less turnovers than its opponent in all but two games (UIW, BSU), ranking first in the Mountain West in turnovers per game (11.0), which checks in fourth-best nationally. The turnover margin (+5.45) is second in the MW and 35th in the NCAA. In all but two games (SDSU, BSU), the Rams have scored more points off of the turnovers than its counterpart.

• Living and dying from the three-point line are the Rams this season. CSU is fourth in the Mountain West in 3-point field goal percentage (.327) and second in 3-point field goals made (86), however have allowed the most in the conference (84) for a clip (.326) that ranks seventh in the MW. The Rams are 4-1 when shooting a better rate in the long-distance game.

• Brady Cleaning the Glass. Redshirt-senior forward Andrea Brady has pulled in a team-high 83 rebounds, which ranks third in the Mountain West and 49th in the NCAA. Average-wise that pans out to 7.5 a game for fourth in the conference. She has two double-digit board games with a high of 14 and has had at least six in every game except against Tennessee when she had an outlier of four boards.

• Rams Like to Shoot from Downtown. Colorado State set a Thompson-Boling Arena record of 44 three-point field goals attempted. Within the conference, the Rams' 263 attempted 3s rank third, but also 10th nation-wide. Aside from the 18.2 percent that the Rams shot at UT, CSU has been successful with six games over 30 percent, including three over 40 percent and one over 50 percent.

Scouting Mississippi Valley State Devilettes
• Mississippi Valley State is coming off a road loss, 95-22, to Wyoming on Thursday. The Devilettes (1-7) started the season on a six-game losing streak until breaking the skid against Florida A&M in a one-point victory. In the 10-team SWAC, MVSU was pinned to finish eighth in the conference - the same spot it finished last season with a 5-13 record among its overall 6-24 mark.
