RENO, Nev. – The Colorado State women’s soccer program (3-11-2, 0-6-1 MW) fell 2-0 to the Nevada Wolf Pack in Reno on Friday evening.
Nevada got off to a quick start with a goal in the seventh minute from Hannah Miller and never looked back. The Wolf Pack controlled possession for much of the first half, and although they didn’t manage any other dangerous opportunities in the first 45 minutes, their defense was solid and held the Rams without a shot.
Coming out of the intermission, the Wolf Pack once again were quick to get on the scoreboard again with a goal in the 51st minute from Lindsey Salcido that was produced from a corner kick. The Rams were more dangerous in the second half with four shots on goal, and six shots total, but couldn’t muster a goal to gather some momentum.
The Rams will stay in Nevada as they travel to Las Vegas to take on the UNLV Rebels. Colorado State is 0-2-0 all-time against UNLV with both goals being decided by just one goal. The match is set to kick off at 11:30 a.m. MT and will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network.
