Women Fourth, Men Tied For Eighth At NCAA Regionals

The Colorado State women's cross country team finished fourth at the NCAA Mountain Regionals, while the men's team tied with the Air Force Academy for eighth.
Junior April Thomas placed 12th overall, running a 21:16.1, while senior Nicole Feest was 15th and sophomore Kirsten Anthony finished 16th. Senior Danielle Korb took 23rd and junior Heather Loseke rounded out the scoring in 30th.
Senior Rob Watson paced the men's team with a 19th place finish over the 10-kilometer course. Sophomore Jeremy Freed finished 26th overall, while sophomore Jeff Wahl was 42nd, senior Ryan Kirkpatrick was 52nd and junior David Zakavec rounded out the scoring in 65th.
Colorado won the women's race, while Texas Tech and BYU finished ahead of the Rams. They will await word on an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships. CU also won the men's race, while BYU finished second.
