Sell starts strong at Bryan Clay Multis

GOLDEN – Colorado State track and field saw three multi-athletes compete on Thursday. Joe Probst finished his decathlon while Italia Bradford completed her heptathlon in Golden. Zach Sell completed his first five events at the Bryan Clay Multis at Azuza Pacific.  
Mines Mid-Week and Multis 
  • Bradford completed her heptathlon finishing eighth out of 15 competitors. Bradford recorded personal bests in six of her seven events. Her top scoring event was the long jump where she brought in 663 points that added to her final of 3839. 
  • Probst, the sprinter turned multi athlete shined in his first full length decathlon. The freshman excelled in each running event, while putting together a solid showing in the long jump as well. Probst set a personal best in the 400, pole vault and discus, while throwing javelin for the first time. He finished in sixth with 5816 points.  
Bryan Clay Multis 
  • Sell served as the only Ram at the Bryan Clay Multi's. Sell finished top five in every event on Thursday including a personal best in the long jump 6.73-meters/22-feet-1. He ranks third in his heat at 3658 points. 
Looking Ahead  
Sell will finish his Decathlon on Friday with the discus, pole vault, javelin, 1500 and 110 hurdles to go. CSU will then make a trip back down to Golden on Saturday for the Mines Kit Mayer.
