Rams Set for Mountain West Championships Bracket

Women’s tennis enters tournament as No. 10 seed

FORT COLLINS – Postseason play begins in Las Vegas.

Colorado State women's tennis earned the No. 10 seed for the Mountain West Championships and will open tournament competition Wednesday against No. 7 Nevada at 10 a.m. at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Rams enter the championship bracket with a 7–15 overall record and a 3–8 mark in conference play. Nevada arrives 9–11 and a 5–6 conference ledger. The Wolf Pack won the prior matchup 4-0.

Colorado State has been led at the top of the lineup by Sorcha Caves and Luana Avelar. Caves has posted an 11–7 doubles record from the No. 1 position, while she and Avelar have combined for an 8–4 mark at the top spot.

Avelar leads the Rams in singles play with a 7–4 record at the No. 1 position this season.

The winner of Colorado State's opening-round matchup will advance to face No. 2 seed Boise State on Thursday, April 23. Live streaming and live scoring will be available through the Mountain West website.
