Conference trip continues Sunday at Nevada
LAS VEGAS – Taking to the road for the first time in conference play, Colorado State's women's tennis team did so a touch shorthanded.
Â
Facing UNLV on Friday, the Rams fell 4-0 to the Rebels, who remained perfect in Mountain West play, leaving Colorado State still searching for its first conference victory. The Rams were without regular No. 1 player Luana Avelar, which created a ripple effect in both doubles and singles.
Â
After taking the doubles point with wins at the top two position, UNLV secured the team win by claiming the first three singles decisions at the Fertitta Tennis Comple at Nos. 1, 3 and 4 slots.
Â
Colorado State collected first-set victories at the bottom of the order from Diana Lizarazo (No. 5) and Dylan Voeks (No. 6).
Â
Colorado State continues the road trip Sunday with a match at Nevada (1 p.m. MT).
