Rams Open Mountain West Play at Home Against Boise State

Women’s tennis opens conference play
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State women's tennis team will host Boise State on Friday at 1 p.m. at the CSU Tennis Complex, then face Utah State on Sunday (11:30 a.m.) at Genesis Health Club. The matches will feature live scoring and Friday will be live streamed.
Friday's match-up marks the start of Mountain West play for the Rams, as they open conference action on their home courts in Fort Collins. Colorado State enters the contest with a 4-7 overall record after securing a win to close out non-conference play and will look to carry momentum forward as the season continues.
Boise State enters the competition with an 8-2 ledger and carries a seven-match winning streak. The Broncos are currently ranked No. 68 nationally. This match-up will also mark the start of the Broncos' conference play.
Utah State, which will take on Wyoming on Friday, comes to Fort Collins with a 6-4 mark entering league play.
The Rams have been led by strong performances at the top of the lineup this season. In singles play, Luana Avelar leads the team 5-1 overall in the No.1 position. Leyla Tozin has also been a consistent contributor, posting a 6-3 mark in singles, including a 5-3 slate at the No.3 spot in the lineup. In doubles play, Tozin holds a 5–3 record, including 4–3 at No. 2, while Sorcha Caves is 5–4 overall with a 3–3 tally at No. 1.
