Colorado State takes on tough regional field

By: Sergio Pena

Colorado State will headed to Provo, Utah, for the ITA Mountain Regional competition against 20 other teams. The tournament starts Tuesday, running for five days.

The Rams are coming off two tournaments to start the season, the Jon Messick invitational and the Bedford Cup. This regional field presents an opportunity for the Rams to qualify for the individual singles and doubles championship on November 17-22 in Athens, Ga.

For singles, the two finalists qualify for the individual championship while in doubles only the champion qualifies for the individual championship.

Play will begin on Tuesday and will have a normal bracket format guaranteeing each player at least two matches in singles and doubles.
