Colorado State’s strong first half leads them over LMU
FORT COLLINS – When it rains it pours. A famous song by country singer Luke Combs and what the first half of 'Country Night' inside Moby Arena looked like Wednesday night. Colorado State rained in 11 3-pointers in the opening 20 on the way to an 83-54 win over LMU.

Up seven approaching seven minutes remaining in the first half the Rams went on a 23-2 run. During it, CSU connected on six 3-pointers from four different players. Seven of the team's final eight made baskets were 3-pointers.

Jalen Lake led the team at the break with four makes from downtown and 12 points.

Meanwhile, Nique Clifford recorded a double-double by halftime with 10 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time in his career that he had recorded a double-double by halftime. He went on to finish the game with 19 points a career-high 17 rebounds and six assists.

Lake ended the night with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Colorado State's lead never dipped below 20 points in the second half as they held LMU to an opponent's season-low 53 points and matched the lowest shooting percentage at 33.9%.
