Rams Unable to Get Over the Hump Against Nevada

Colorado State unable to overcome poor first half shooting
RENO, Nev. – A sluggish first half offensively and just unable to get over the hill in the second half hurt Colorado State as they fell to Nevada 77-64 Wednesday night.
The Rams struggled to find the bottom of the basket in the first half including a 5:27 field goal drought as the team shot 28.6%. CSU did well at the free throw line going 7-for-10 trailing 35-27 at the break.
In the second half, Colorado State cut the Wolf Pack lead to five or six 12 times but were never able to get over the hump.
Nevada's duo of Jarod Lucas and Kenan Blacksheer combined for 32 of the Wolf Pack's 42 second half points.
Game Notes
- Jalen Lake has now made a three in 11 straight games. He finished the game with 13 points to lead the Rams, going 3-for6 behind the arc.
- Josiah Strong and Joel Scott also finished in double figures scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
- Isaiah Stevens finished two points shy of a double-double with eight points and 10 assists.
- CSU had 14 offensive rebounds and 32 for the game.

Colorado State stays on the road this weekend, heading north of the border to face rivals Wyoming on Saturday for a 2 pm tip-off.
