COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State remained winless on the road this season after falling to Air Force 75-59 Tuesday night at Clune Arena in front of a crowd of 3,677. Marcus Walker, the league's leading scorer, led the Rams with 23 points.

The first half was a back-and-forth contest that ended with the Rams going into the locker room down one point, 29-28. CSU could not contain preseason all-MWC guard Tim Anderson in the second half, as he finished the game with a game-best 26 points.

The Falcons made 29 of their 32 attempts from the free throw line, most of which came in the second period while the Rams attempted the comeback. Walker got some help late in the game from fellow guard Jesse Woodward, who finished the game with 13 points, nine of which came in the second half.

CSU's very young team had trouble battling through the late second-half runs that the Falcons would go on, and just could not come within reach at the right times.

"I thought we played 32 good minutes of basketball," said Head Coach Tim Miles. "I just don't think we have the firepower right now to weather those runs. We just can't make our own breaks right now, but we have to find a way to fight through that."

Air Force's Anwar Johnson chipped in with 18 points as well as leading the Falcons with six rebounds. Johnson also made all of his 10 attempts from the charity stripe. CSU center Ronnie Aguilar led the Rams in rebounding for the sixth straight game, finishing the contest with six boards to go along with nine points.

The Rams travel to Laramie, Wyo., for a 2 p.m. contest with Wyoming Saturday.
