CHAPEL HILL, NC – The Colorado State volleyball team earned its third win of the 2026 season in a neutral site win over James Madison Saturday morning in Chapel Hill. The Rams dominated the final two sets to win the matchup with the Dukes, 3-1.

For the second match in a row, CSU and head coach Emily Kohan saw double-digit kill productions from four different Rams including Halle Jameson who tallied a set one high of six in the opening frame for the Rams. Starting a bit slow, the Rams first lead came at 25-24 after finding themselves on an 8-3 run after trailing as much as four points earlier in the set. Jameson totaled three kills in the final four points to put the Rams up a set, 26-24.
In set two, James Madison hit at its best team efficiency of .433 in the set. Featuring eight tie scores, early in the set, the Dukes went on a 11-1 run to end the second set 25-19.
The Rams bounced back in the advantage set, defeating the Dukes 25-19 thanks to seven kills by Jameson in the set and holding the Dukes to just a .044 hitting percentage in the third frame.
With the lead, CSU dominated at its highest level in set four, winning 25-15 with seven different Rams recording points offensively and an 80% side out rate. CSU started with the lead and never relinquished it in set four, earning its third victory of the season.
Leading the Rams was Jameson with 17 kills, puting her weekend total at 36 kills on the road trip. Jameson hit at a .211 clip while also digging up six balls in the backrow.
Colorado State's middle blocker duo dominated again with Kekua Richards contributing 12 kills at a .524 clip while Eve Wilson added 10 kills at a .316 efficiency. Richards also added three blocks while Wilson served three aces in the match.
Ella Stowell rounded out the four Rams in double-digit kills, totaling 10.
The Rams outhit the Dukes .241 to .233 and totaled 60 kills compared to JMU's 47. Erin Debiec ran the CSU offense with 49 assists, two service aces and a career high 18 digs on defense, leading the Rams.

Up Next: The Rams will return to Fort Collins for week three of play, hosting South Dakota Thursday and UC Santa Barbara Friday in its annual Orange Out game before traveling north across the state border to Wyoming Saturday for the 101^st Border War game in Laramie.
