Swim & Dive Set to Host Five Home Meets

Team will face a trio of Pac-12 foes in duals
FORT COLLINS  – The season will begin and end at home as Colorado State women's swimming & diving team released the schedule for the 2026-27 campaign, it's first as a member of the Pac-12.

The Rams will host the Front Range Invitational at Edora Pool Ice Center on Oct. 2-3, with Denver, Wyoming, Air Force and Northern Colorado also in attendance. The regular season for the team concludes Jan. 23 when it hosts Air Force.

Coach Christopher Woodard – entering his 16th season guiding the program – and his squad will additionally host three other home meets. Pac-12 foe Washington State and Colorado Mesa will provide the competition in a double-dual on Oct. 17. The Rams open November with a pair of home meets, the first being the Border War was Wyoming, then hosting Northern Arizona the following day.

Colorado State will return to the Hawkeye Invitational (Nov. 17-20) for its mid-season competition. It will open the second half of the season with a road trip to California to face fellow Pac-12 member Cal Baptist (Jan. 8), followed by a double-dual with Pepperdine and Texas Rio Grande Valley the next day.

The Rams' divers will once again take part in the Air Force Diving Invitational (Jan. 28-30) for their final tuneup for postseason. The Pac-12 Championships will take place Feb. 24-27 in Houston.

Colorado State returns a trio of all-conference performers in Mia Axelman, Sydney Ovesen and Tess Whineray. Whineray became the programs' first NCAA Championships qualifier in 13 seasons last year when she qualified for the meet in the 100- and 200-yad backstrokes, winning a conference championship in the 200 event. The team set six school records during the season, with Whineray being part of all four relay marks in addition to her records set in both backstroke distances. Woodard's squad added seven swimmers to the roster (one a transfer), including consensus top-20 recruit Kayda Geyer, who will represent the United States at the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in August.
