Kaneshiro Earns Third All-Conference Award

FORT COLLINS – Kara Kaneshiro of the Colorado State women's golf team earned the third Mountain West All-Conference honor of her career after earning second-team honors the league announced Friday.

Kaneshiro was named the 2024 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-Conference before being named to the First-Team All-Mountain West after her sophomore campaign in 2025 and now her 2026 Second-Team bid marks the third award of her career.

Kara finished ranked No. 276 individually in the nation with a scoring average of 73.1 on the season. Her best tournament came at the Huntington bank Collegiate where she finished five under-par and tenth place. Her best individual finish of the season came at the Florida Atlantic Paradise Invitational where she notched a top-ten finish with a three-under bap tournament.

At this season's Mountain West Tournament, Kaneshiro finished third in a field of 48 players shooting even-par and 10 birdies including six in her first round, posting a four-under card.

Colorado State will look ahead to next season as it marks the inaugural season in the PAC-12 Conference for the Rams while Kaneshiro returns for her senior campaign.
