Trietley, Whineray named for second consecutive year
FORT COLLINS  – Excelling out of competition is commonplace for the team, with four members recognized by the College Sports Communicators with Academic All-District recognition for the 2025-26 season.
Â
Maggie Di Scipio, Lexie Trietley, Tess Whineray and Claire Wright all earned the distinction. All of them carry 3.97 GPAs or higher for the academic year. For Trietley and Whinery, this is the second consecutive season they have been recognized. Whineray, an NCAA qualifier in both the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes, is up for consideration for the Academic All-American team.
Â
Di Scipio, Trietley and Whineray have all earned All-Mountain West honors in their careers, and all four all multi-time placers at the conference meet, each ranking in the school's top 10 in multiple events.
Â
To be considered, student-athletes have to carry at minimum a 3.5 cumulative GPA and be at least in their sophomore season and have competed in at least 75 percent of the season's schedule or notch a top-eight finish in conference or participate at the national championships.
