Guard averaged double-double to help Rams go 2-0
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State's Kloe Froebe was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a pair of monster performances that helped the Rams go 2-0 to close out their home schedule.
Â
Froebe averaged 13.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists across the pair of games, leading CSU to strong wins over UNLV and Air Force.
Â
Saturday's performance against the Falcons was one of the best of the sophomore's young career as she grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds to go with 15 points and three assists. Froebe became the first Ram since 2020 to record 20 rebounds in a single game and is the first since 2015 with a 20-rebound double-double.
Â
Froebe was also impressive in helping Colorado State earn its first win over UNLV since 2021, scoring 12 points and grabbing eight rebounds to snap a 10-game losing streak to the Lady Rebels and position CSU in a tie for second place in the Mountain West standings.
Â
This is the first-career conference player of the week award for Froebe, who won four freshman of the week awards in her debut season. Froebe and the Rams return to the court Tuesday night as they close out the regular season at San Jose State. The game is set to tip off at 8 p.m. MT and can be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
