Muniz, Rechsteiner Earn All-Conference Honors

Colorado State men’s basketball places a pair on the All-Conference team
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State men's basketball placed a pair of players on the All-Mountain West team, announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. Jevin Muniz earned third team honors, while Brandon Rechsteiner was an honorable mention. It is the first time earning All-Conference honors for both players.
Muniz averaged 10.3 points, 4.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds during conference play. He led the Mountain West in assists. The senior had nine games with five-plus assists, including a season-high 10 at San Jose State, where he had a double-double. This year, is averaging 9.5 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds. His 153 assists on the season ranks seventh in program history. Muniz leads the Mountain West in both assists per game and assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.26.
Rechsteiner's sharp shooting helped earn him an honorable mention from the conference. He led the Rams, averaging 12.6 points per game while making 2.45 threes per game at a rate of 38.9%. The junior reached double figures in scoring in 14 of the 20 conference games and had 15 or more points six times. Rechsteiner is making 2.61 treys per game this season, ranking 91st in the country.
Muniz, Rechsteiner and the rest of the Rams tip off the 2026 Mountain West Tournament on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. MT when they face Fresno State.
