The 2026 schedule features seven home games for the third consecutive season
FORT COLLINS – A new era in 2026 begins at Colorado State as the Pac-12 Conference released dates for the upcoming football season. Colorado State will host seven home games in Cavas Stadium for the third consecutive season with the majority scheduled for September and October. The Rams' will play four non-conference games, three in Canvas Stadium, followed by eight Pac-12 contests.
Â
"The Pac-12 era is here for Colorado State, and we are excited to host seven home football games on campus. I am so excited for the 2026 Rams Football team, Coach Mora and the football staff to experience gameday in Canvas Stadium," said Director of Athletics, John Weber. "Ram Country is special and the seven home games are great opportunities not only for our team, but also for the university and the community to come together as one to support each other. Home field advantage is real and when our students, campus, alumni, and community gather together, Colorado State is powerful! We are once again, working extremely hard on the fan experience before, during and after the games this season as we celebrate 10 years of Canvas Stadium."
Â
Like the past two seasons, the Rams will host three games in September, two in October and two in November at Canvas Stadium.
Â
"We are excited for the 2026 season and to be a part of the new Pac-12. It has always been a prominent and well-respected league and we're looking forward to building off its rich history," said head coach Jim Mora. "Having seven home games means seven opportunities to play in front of our great fans in Canvas Stadium with an amazing home field advantage."
Â
The Rams will start their 2026 campaign hosting four of their first five games in Canvas Stadium. The season begins on Sept. 5 hosting Wyoming and playing for the Bronze Boot. It will be the earliest Border War Game played in its 127-year history. The Border War has been played 12 times in September, with the earliest being September 11 in 1982.
Â
CSU will host Southern Utah (Sept. 12) and former WAC and Mountain West foe, BYU (Sept. 19) before leaving Fort Collins for the first time during week four at UTSA (Sept. 26) to finish the non-conference.
Â
Colorado State will begin the Pac-12 era on Oct. 3 while welcoming Oregon State back to Fort Collins since the inaugural game at Canvas Stadium in 2017. The Rams will have their lone bye week during week 6 before playing at Texas State on Oct. 17, which could slide to a Thursday game – to be determined prior to the start of the season at a later date.
Â
CSU will split time between home and away the rest of the season, hosting San Diego State (Oct. 24), Boise State (Nov. 7) and a Flex Weekend (Nov. 28). The Rams will play at Utah State (Oct. 31), Washington State (Nov. 14) and Fresno State (Nov. 21). The flex weekend will be a scheduled home game, but the Pac-12 will retain the right to adjust the matchup based on the best interests of the league, including College Football Playoff (CFP) considerations at that time.
