Colorado State finished 10th through two rounds

FORT COLLINS - As the rain surges on in Fort Collins, the annual Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic concluded Tuesday morning with the tournament's third round being canceled. The Rams finished in 10th shooting 15-over, with Kara Kaneshiro leading the team shooting even par for a second consecutive tournament. Colorado State ranked first out of the 13 teams for pars.

Ptarmigan Ram Classic | Team Finish: 10th (+15)

  • Leading the team was Kaneshiro, who shot even par and tied for 14th. Kaneshiro was one of nine players to shoot an eagle, and totaled four birdies in the two rounds.
  • Ebba Thalen placed 20th individually, playing 2-over and tying with Kaneshiro shooting four birdies. Thalen ranked 9th in the tournament for her average par 5 performances.
  • Inje Natchanun ended the two rounds in 48th, shooting 73-77 to card a 6-over finish. Natchanun boasted a total of 24 pars.
  • Chiara Sola's first tournament this season concluded with a 52nd individual finish  with Sola playing 7-over. Sola shot a total of 30 pars, earning her a 2nd individual rank for pars.
  • Kara Lee played 13-over the two rounds, finishing in 64th overall. Kara Lee shot four total birdies, two in each round of play.
  • Not far behind Kara Lee was Jacinda Lee, finishing 14-over and landing herself a finish in 69th. Jacinda Lee led the team in birdies, totaling seven birdies. 
  • Rounding out the Rams is Gabie Rosca, shooting 22-over and finishing in 77th. Rosca finished the tournament with 19 pars.

Up Next: The Rams head down to Denver to participate in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate October 3rd-5th at Denver Golf Course.
