CSU ties for fourth behind record-setting second round at Emerald Valley
CRESWELL, Ore. – Colorado State wrapped up play at the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men's Golf Championship, finishing tied for fourth in the 11-team field at Emerald Valley Golf Club. The Rams posted a team score of 842 (290-268-284), highlighted by a tournament-record-tying second round that briefly led the field.
Jay Pabin paced CSU with a tie for fourth individually, shooting 11-under 205 behind rounds of 72-67-66. Christoph Bleier tied for 14th at 7-under 209, posting rounds of 71-68-70, while Jake Rodgers finished tied for 19th at 4-under 212, fueled by a 7-under 65 in round two.
Matthew Wilkinson contributed a tie for 33rd after shooting rounds of 75-68-74 to finish at 1-over 217. Alessandro Trenta rounded out the lineup with a tie for 44th, recording scores of 74-72-75 to end at 5-over 221.
The Rams surged into contention with a 20-under 268 in round two, momentarily setting a Mountain West tournament record before eventual champion San Diego State surpassed it later in the day. CSU jumped seven spots up the leaderboard after the second round and maintained their top-four position through the final 18 holes.
