PROVO, Utah – On the third day of the ITA Mountain Regionals, the Rams entered with chances to move forward in both singles and doubles, as well as play a few consolation matches.

Playing in a main draw, Sorcha Caves took on No. 5 seed Kendal Kovick of Brigham Young, falling 6-1, 6-2. It was the second time during the day the two shared the court, as Kovick and partner Grae Levelston, the No. 2 seed in doubles, posted an 8-3 win over Caves and Luana Avelar in the quarterfinals.

Other matches took place in the form of consolation competition, giving the Rams more on-court opportunities. Diana Lizarazo competed in both singles and doubles, with partner Annika Planinsek. Lizarazo defeated Idaho's Chenyue Xu in three sets 6-4, 5-7, 11-9, then played in doubles earning another victory over Weber State, 8-4.

Planinsek also played in singles, falling to Utah's Haley Roberts, 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Leyla Tozin competed in a consolation match against Denver's Ruby Hansen, falling 6-3, 6-4.

The day finished the Rams' run in the tournament, with their final matches for the fall coming nearly a month from now at the San Diego State Classic on Nov. 7-9.
