McBride has earned recognition from four outlets so far with many more to come.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Over the next few days, the All-American accolades are expected to pile up for Colorado State senior tight end Trey McBride, as four alone have been released this week.

The Senior Bowl, Pro Football Focus, and Pro Football Network have each named McBride to their first team All-American squads while The Athletic listed the Fort Morgan native on their second team.

All-American honors are no stranger to McBride, who was first named by PFF as an honorable mention selection a season ago. His value is clearly rising as the first-team All-Mountain West selection was PFF's highest-graded tight end overall (94.5 percent) and received the top receiving grade (95.0) at his position.

PFF's individual award honors also selected McBride as their winner for the John Mackey Award, given to the nation's top tight end. The official award selection will be announced on Thursday night as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN, beginning at 5 p.m. (MT). If he wins, McBride will become just the second CSU player in history to win a major individual award, joining 1995 Jim Thorpe Award winner Greg Myers.

He finished the season with 90 receptions for 1,121 yards, becoming the first tight end in school history to surpass the 1,000-yard mark in a season. He had six 100-yard games on the year, tied for second most in a season by a CSU player, and ranks sixth at CSU with eight such games in his career.

He leaves as the most productive tight end in school history, amassing 164 receptions for 2,100 yards and 10 touchdowns. His catches rank him fourth in a single season and seventh for a career; his yardage ranks eighth and ninth, respectively.
