Hougaard-Jensen earns Google Cloud Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State volleyball player, Paulina Hougaard-Jensen has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Second-Team announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Hougaard-Jensen who carries at 3.94 grade-point average, while majoring in business administration was named to her district's second team. This is her first national award as she is a two-time Mountain West Academic All-Conference honoree and Scholar Athlete.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA. Nominated student-athletes were then selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The Copenhagen, Denmark native has played in all 99 sets this season and leads the offense with a .355 hitting percentage – first in the Mountain West and No. 57 in the country. The middle blocker also averages 2.58 kills per set, while putting up a team-best 1.27 blocks.
Colorado State is 22-6, 14-2 MW and is carrying an 11-match winning streak into its final week of the regular season. The Rams will face UNLV tonight at 7 p.m., before finishing the regular season on Saturday playing New Mexico at 7 p.m.
