FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State middle blocker Brieon Paige was named to the COBRA All-West Region Team for the second year in a row, the magazine announced last week.
COBRA celebrates the success of volleyball players of African as well as Samoan and Tongan descent in hopes of encouraging young girls of those ethnic groups across the country to pursue the sport. Paige was joined by 14 other athletes on the All-West Region Team.
The redshirt junior, a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Sacramento, Calif., completed her 105th set of the season with 227 kills. Paige finished Mountain West play ranked first in hitting percentage (.362) and boasted an impressive 107 total blocks, ranking second on the team.
The daughter of Paula and Stephone Paige, who played football at Fresno State and 12 years in the NFL, Paige is majoring in communications.
