FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State men's basketball team has five home games over the next five weeks, and the school on Tuesday announced several attractive promotional plans and group-ticket discounts for Rams contests at Moby Arena.
"We are excited about the direction of our program under Tim Miles and his staff," Director of Athletics Paul Kowalczyk said. "Our single-game promotions and group-sales packages provide an additional incentive for fans to see the Rams in action."
Wednesday is final opportunity to exchange toys for tickets
CSU's game vs. in-state rival Denver Wednesday night is fans' last chance to take advantage of the Toys for Tots promotion. Any fan that brings a new, unused toy to the school will receive a voucher for free admission to the DU game. Prior to game day, fans can bring toys to the McGraw Athletic Center (Room 101). On the night of the game, fans can bring toys to Moby Arena's north entrance. All donations support Toys for Tots.
Stocking-stuffer sale
Colorado State has the perfect holiday stocking stuffer for the Rams fan of any age. Kowalczyk said tickets to three games scheduled over the holiday break are available for only $5 each. The discount includes games Dec. 29 (Western State), Jan. 5 (UNLV) and Jan. 8 (Oklahoma Panhandle State).
In addition to the stocking-stuffer sale, CSU is offering a four-game holiday pack, in which fans can purchase tickets to the above three contests -- as well as the Dec. 22 clash vs. Colorado -- for just $25.
"The tickets are priced affordably for families and friends to see the Rams in action during the holidays," said Kowalczyk.
The `MWC-plus' ticket plan
CSU is offering discounted tickets to all eight of the team's Mountain West Conference home games and the team's final non-conference game of the year. Fans can purchase reserved seats to the eight conference games and the team's Jan. 8 contest with Oklahoma Panhandle State for $80, a $28 savings from the face value of the tickets.
Group tickets
For any home game on the regular-season schedule, groups of 20 or more fans receive a $2 discount on tickets normally priced at $10. CSU also is offering an additional group package. For $10 each, groups of 20 or more receive not only a game ticket, but a complimentary soft drink and either a hot dog or pretzel. Fans can contact the athletic marketing office at 970/491-4666 to reserve group tickets.
Saturdays are `Kids Day'
Every time the Rams play at home on a Saturday, it's "Kids Day" at Moby Arena. The first 200 youths, age 12 and younger, receive a free ticket to the game with a paying adult. All other youngsters, ages 13-17, can enter the game with a half-priced ticket. Plus, following all Saturday games (including Dec. 22 vs. Colorado, Dec. 29 vs. Western State and Jan. 5 vs. UNLV), youngsters will be invited onto the Moby Arena playing floor for a free-throw shooting contest.
BYU Special
When the Rams play host to BYU Feb. 13, CSU is offering two tickets, two hot dogs or pretzels, and two soft drinks for $30.
