Water Polo Falls in Close Games

Santa Cruz, Calif. - The Colorado State water polo team dropped a pair of games Sunday in the UC Santa Cruz Slugfest. CSU drops to 3-7 on the season and holds a 1-4 record in the Western Water Polo Association.
The Rams fell to Cal State East Bay 8-7 in the first game of the day before falling to Sonoma State 10-9 on a last second goal by the Seawolves. No stats were available for either of the games.
"We played so well," commented CSU head coach John Mattos. "I'm so proud of our girls, we just need to get a break."
CSU plays next in the Coyote Classic hosted by Cal State San Bernardino March 10-11.
