Ram Water Polo Splits Sunday Games

Claremont, Calif. - The Colorado State water polo team defeated Occidental 10-5 before falling in a close contest to Pomona-Pitzer, 6-5 Sunday in the Claremont Colleges Tournament.
CSU had no trouble putting Occidental away leading the entire game and ending with a 10-5 victory. Emily Chambers led the Rams with four goals while Annie Quinn posted three. Laurien White notched two goals in the win and Shannon Kohl rounded out CSU's offense with one score. Andrea Lugo had 10 saves in the victory.
In the nightcap, CSU led the entire way until Pomona-Pitzer, nationally-ranked in NCAA III, scored two goals in the fourth to topple the Rams 6-5. Quinn led CSU with three goals while White had two and Chambers had one. Krystyna McCright notched nine saves in the contest.
CSU (10-10) will play next at UC Davis on March 30 before playing in the UC Davis Shootout on March 31 and April 1.
