Colorado State University's football team used a two-hour workout Wednesday to focus on the team's gamplan for Saturday's 1 p.m. game with San Diego State at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughe Stadium.
The Rams enter the game 5-4 overall, 4-2 in the Mountain West Conference, while SDSU is 3-6, 2-4.
"We got some work done today," said Rams' coach Sonny Lubick. "We need to have another good day Thursday and be ready to go.
Injuries continue to haunt the Rams. Center Albert Bimper remains doubtful with a hamstring injury and has missed the past five games. New to the list is starting defensive end Terrance Carter, who injured his left knee originally in the team's win over Wyoming several weeks ago, then had more problems following last week's game. Blocking back Tristan Walker, who was out last week with an ankle injury, remains questionable.
Athletic department officials said they are expecting another large crowd for Saturday's game. By Wednesday afternoon, the allotment of 10,000 tickets for students had been exhausted. The department is sponsoring several ticket promotions which have prompted steady sales all week. Fans with a Mountain Dew soft drink can have the chance to purchase one ticket at full price and get a second one free. Fans can present the can at the CSU ticket office in the McGraw Center or on game day at the stadium. Also, youths 17 years of age and younger can get into the game for $1 when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
The ticket office, located southwest of the team tunnel entrance at the stadium, opens at 11 a.m. Saturday.
